Antique farmer's cabinet from Switzerland – Handcrafted unique piece from 1781

With a heavy heart we are selling this exceptional historical farm cabinet, which has been passed down for generations in a large traditional farmhouse in Switzerland. The cabinet tells a story – you can immediately feel the craftsmanship, the soul of the wood, and the character of centuries past.

The original year number “1781” is inlaid on the front of the plinth, underscoring the historic provenance of this rare piece.

The cabinet was entirely handcrafted. The solid wooden boards, the intricate inlays, and the forged iron fittings showcase the typical Swiss farm furniture art of the 18th century. Back then, every detail was made by hand – without industrial machines, with a lot of patience, experience, and love for the material.
