Olympus Mju-II (Stylus Epic) 35 mm compact camera, physical condition good, functional condition tested and working, serial number 7230590, estimated period 1990–2000.
Description from the seller
The Olympus MJU II (in the US known as the Olympus Stylus Epic) is an absolute cult classic among 35mm compact film cameras. Released in 1997, this plastic 'point-and-shoot' has grown into one of the most sought-after analog cameras on the second-hand market.
The Lens (The Prime version): The original MJU II has a fixed 35mm f/2.8 lens. For such a compact camera, this lens is incredibly sharp and high-contrast. Thanks to the maximum aperture of f/2.8 you can shoot in lower light and you can create a beautiful, soft background blur (bokeh).
Super Compact Design: It features a so-called 'clamshell' design. By sliding the plastic front cover open, you turn the camera on and the lens pops out. When closed, the cap protects the lens completely, allowing it to fit hassle-free in your pocket.
Water-Resistant (All-Weather): The camera has rubber seals around the body and the film door. It isn’t underwater-proof, but it will survive a heavy rainstorm or snowstorm without problems.
Smart Light Metering & Autofocus: The active autofocus system works quickly and accurately (even from about 35 centimeters). The metering is very reliable, so you rarely get severely under- or overexposed photos.
The LED screen isn’t as bright as it used to be. The film indication is hard to read. Other than that, fully functional.
