Walt Disney's Mickey Mouse Complaints Box – Ehapa-Verlag 1959 – with Original Shipping Carton
An exceptionally rare piece of early German Disney history: the original Mickey Mouse Complaints Box, published by Ehapa-Verlag GmbH Stuttgart (Paulinenstraße 44), dated April 1, 1959.
The Complaints Box is made of wood, painted in bright red, and on the front features the classic Mickey Mouse portrait along with the inscription "Mickey Mouse Complaints Box" in the characteristic style of the early postwar period. The mail slot is fully intact. Note: The key is not present. The piece shows age-appropriate signs of wear; please refer to the photos.
The absolute highlight: The original shipping carton is present and still bears the complete postage label of Ehapa-Verlag with a Stuttgart postmark dated 01.04.1959 as well as the original recipient address. Such fully preserved ensembles of object and original packaging are exceptionally rare on the collectors' market.
