Important Hammered 800 Silver Sculptural Vase – Alzetta & Bellettati, Venice – Mid-Century Design (1950s)
Object Description
Splendid and imposing design vase in solid 800 silver, produced by the historic and renowned Venetian workshop Alzetta & Bellettati. This piece represents an excellence of Italian silverware in the 20th century, merging Venetian artisan mastery with the biomorphic aesthetics of the Mid-Century Modern period.
The vase stands out for its fluid and dynamic shape, characterized by a bulging body that narrows into a slim neck and then opens into a refined, flared, and asymmetrical mouth. The surface is fully hammered, a technique that creates an exceptional play of reflections and testifies to the manual craftsmanship of the piece.
