Neolithic flint Axe - 20 cm (No reserve price)

An authentic prehistoric flint macro-tool (heavy knife or early hand axe) from the transitional period to the early Neolithic.
This piece comes from the well-known Campignien culture and dates to circa 6000 BCE.
The tool is accompanied by an old, handwritten collector’s label with precise provenance:

Features: The object exhibits the characteristic coarse knapping technique (bifacially flaked) typical of forestry- and mining-tools from this period. The piece is in excellent original condition with no modern damage. A beautiful and historically well-documented centerpiece for the serious collector of prehistoric artefacts.
