Antique collectible key in forged and hand-beaten iron with a typically Gothic style, datable to around the 17th/18th century, with a handle featuring perforated work in a Venetian or Gothic style and a sturdy shaft with a modanated collar near the grip and a pierced base also known as the female. The key’s wards display intricate engravings that were surely designed for sophisticated locking mechanisms of chests or historic portals of the era.
