Thonet - Folding screen - Maple

The room divider is structurally stable, but shows signs of use. Especially on the inside there are clear traces at the points where devices for attaching coverings were mounted ((see the detail photos). In contrast to the four-part Wiener Thonet Nr. 2 Wandschirm, the inner parts are made of semi-round bentwood rather than round, and instead of three rings there is only a single ring each. Both rings have slight cracks.

Proof that it is a Thonet furniture piece cannot be provided. There is also no Thonet branding stamp. It could also be from another bentwood furniture maker of the Bauhaus era. Possibly Kohn.
