Description from the seller
Well-preserved porcelain coffee service for 1 person in white and cobalt blue with gold decoration from the Belgian porcelain city of Tournai. Handwritten provenance inscription "Tournai 1880" on the unglazed underside of the tray, but no porcelain mark or other indications of the manufacturer. The service consists of the tray, a coffee pot, a milk jug, a sugar bowl, and a cup with a saucer. The quality of workmanship is rather simple, suggesting mass-produced ware.
The service is in overall good condition. In places there are strong wear to the gold color, a small impact on the tray, as well as fine cracks in the milk jug, the sugar bowl, and the saucer.
