Beautiful set of 6 water glasses in crystal by Saint-Louis, Tarn model.
Tarn is a cut crystal model created by Saint-Louis Crystal Glassworks in the 1960s. The Tarn range features pure lines, a hexagonal stem, a star-shaped base—sign of belonging to a high-end series at Saint Louis—a deep size with diamond-cut facets and glasses with an elegant profile that is very slightly tulip-shaped, giving them a nice balance, in the same line as the Cerdagne model, still marketed today.
Each piece is signed, the model dating from after 1936, the date when the crystal works began to affix its acid-etched signature to its productions. The signature is applied at the center of the star under the foot, therefore barely legible, but the model is known and catalogued.
