Beautiful set of 6 wine/port crystal glasses from Saint Louis, Massenet model.
The Massenet model, with its beautiful lines, its intricately cut motif, its subtly styled foot ending in a facet-cut knop, is a luxury production of Saint Louis. A model that has become emblematic of the crystal manufactury over decades — it has been produced in many variations around tableware: sets of glasses and carafes, bowls, compotes, plates... in plain crystal and with overlays — it has been followed for many decades and is still produced today. It has become one of the symbols of the aesthetics of French crystal and of the craftsmanship and refinement that Saint Louis is capable of.
Produced after 1936, our glasses are signed; and the model is represented in catalogs from the turn of the last century.
They are in perfect condition.
