Inscriptions: Obverse: JOHANN NESTROY 1801–1862. Reverse: REPUBLIK ÖSTERREICH · 100 SCHILLING · 1976.
Grade: Uncirculated.
Coin commemorating the Austrian playwright Johann Nestroy, with a left-facing, realistically styled portrait on the obverse, showing a fine modeling of the hair and well-defined facial features, surrounded by a commemorative legend. The reverse features the Austrian federal eagle with a central shield and state attributes, accompanied by the face value and the date, in a balanced composition with clean lines. The specimen shows a satin finish with soft shine in the fields, evidencing light contact marks and small signs of handling, but preserving good relief definition and a solid visual appeal typical of a mint-state piece.
