Description from the seller
Elegant antique walking cane featuring a classic crook handle and beautifully figured polished hardwood shaft, showcasing rich warm honey and chestnut tones with striking natural grain, knotting, and organic patterning that give the piece exceptional visual character.
The cane is enhanced with decorative sterling silver mounts, including an engraved central collar and matching silver terminal cap, fully hallmarked for Birmingham, 1921. The contrast between the lustrous silver and the richly textured wood creates a refined and highly decorative appearance.
A handsome and authentic early 20th-century gentleman’s accessory, equally appealing as a collectible antique, interior display piece, or functional traditional walking stick.
Good antique condition consistent with age and prior use. Surface wear, rubbing, scratches, and small imperfections visible throughout. The wood shows expected age-related wear with minor finish wear in places, while the silver mounts show light surface marks commensurate with age. Ferrule worn from use. Structurally sound overall.
