Description from the seller

Rustic tripod stool with bobbin-turned legs (Bobbin) - Solid wood - France/Alpine Area - 1950s/60s

Fascinating handcrafted tripod stool from the mid-20th century, characterized by a robust and evocative design that blends Folk Art tradition with current trends in contemporary interior design (Wabi-Sabi style and Rustic Chic).

The three-legged structure features a splendid and complex bobbin turning, echoed harmoniously also in the reinforcing crossbars. The seat, with its distinctive crescent-shaped form, highlights the beautiful natural grain of the solid wood and shows on the surface the three characteristic through-dowels of the legs, a sign of solid period construction.
Model DT stools: D for the seat and T for the reinforcement.

Conditions: The piece presents in good vintage condition, structurally solid and stable. It features a magnificent original patina and warm signs of time on the surface of the seat (small stains and superficial wear) that authenticate its age and enhance its charm.

A versatile accent piece, perfect both as a seat and as a plant stand or decorative element to pair with modern furnishings.
