The Yamaha CA-2000 is a flagship "Natural Sound" stereo integrated amplifier produced between 1977 and 1979, representing the pinnacle of Yamaha's celebrated CA series. Developed by feeding back the technology of Yamaha's revered B-2/C-2 separate components, the CA-2000 was a true high-end statement piece of its era.
Its defining feature is switchable Class A / Class B operation: in pure Class A mode it delivers approximately 30 W per channel of exceptionally clean, low-distortion power, while in Class B it produces a robust 120 W per channel into 8 ohms. The amplifier employs Yamaha's proprietary low-noise FETs in a differential first stage, a DC power-amp configuration, and a parallel push-pull SEPP output stage, all contributing to its reputation for finesse, low noise, and effortless drive.
This particular unit has been professionally overhauled. All power transistors remain original, four electrolytic capacitors and two small-signal transistors have been replaced, idling current and DC offset have been readjusted, all contacts have been disassembled and cleaned, and the majority of the circuit boards have had the old solder removed and been re-soldered. Normal output has been confirmed from the AUX, TUNER, TAPE, and PHONO inputs to both Speaker A and Speaker B. A genuinely sought-after vintage Japanese amplifier, restored and ready for many more years of musical service.

This overhauled unit is in generally good working condition with normal output confirmed from all main inputs to both speaker channels and no practically significant scratchy noise; there are fine scratches overall and some scratches on the wooden side panels, and the TAPE dubbing function is untested due to lack of equipment.
