Elegant mechanical desk clock from the German Art Deco period,
ca. 1930–1940s. A characteristic piece of this era with clear, timeless design language.
CASE:
High-quality walnut burl veneer with exceptional grain. The typically rounded corners of the Art Deco style are very well preserved. Sides in contrasting hardwood. No cracks, no chips. Age-appropriate patina that underscores authentic character.
DIAL:
Inlaid metal numerals directly in walnut – no separate dial. Typical for high-quality German clocks of this era. Original hands fully intact.
MOVEMENT:
Mechanical pendulum movement with hour strike (gong/bar movement).
Two winding holes: one for the movement, one for the strike mechanism.
Brass plate, pendulum with lens fully present.
MOVEMENT CONDITION:
Freshly serviced by a professional clockmaker Berlin (Uhrmacher Zeitgalerie).
Clock runs smoothly and strikes cleanly on the hour.
