Rated Excellent on Trustpilot.
Technics SA-DX930 and SL-PG390 two‑piece set, manufactured in 1998, in very good physical condition and tested operational, includes original remote and power cable.
Description from the seller
From my personal collection, I propose a Technics black finish stereo receiver (sintoamplificatore) and CD player from the famous Japanese house TECHNICS. Recently cleaned, checked, and serviced by an industry specialist. Complete with the original remote control for the amplifier (some signs on the back as in the photo) and ORIGINAL Technics power cables. They are presented in excellent mechanical condition and very good cosmetic condition. Some inevitable signs of wear, evaluated from real photos.
The Technics SA-DX930 is a 5.1 Home Theater stereo receiver launched on the market in 1999. It is known for its robustness and for using Class H+ amplification, Technics' proprietary technology that optimizes energy efficiency while reducing harmonic distortion.
Main Technical Specifications
Output power: 100 Watts per channel into 6 Ohms (both in Stereo mode and in 5.1 Surround configuration).
Audio Decoding: Built-in decoders for Dolby Digital (AC-3), DTS and Dolby Pro Logic.
Frequency response: 10 Hz to 40 kHz.
Total Harmonic Distortion (THD): 0.05% at mid-power.
Internal components: High-quality capacitors from the “TA-KE” audio series and dual RSN310R36 amplification chips dedicated to audiophiles.
Tuner: AM/FM radio with quartz synthesis system.
Back Panel and Connections
Despite its age, the connection panel is extremely versatile for both analog and digital configurations (HDMI is entirely missing, not yet available at the time):
Digital Inputs: 2 Toslink optical inputs (assignable to CD or DVD/TV players).
Phono Input (MM): Includes the grounding connection (GND), ideal for directly connecting a turntable without an external preamplifier.
Analog RCA Inputs: CD, Tape (with Monitor function), VCR and TV.
Speaker Outputs: Terminals for Front channels (A and B), Center and the two Rear Surround channels.
Subwoofer Output: Dedicated to an active subwoofer (Pre-Out) for handling bass frequencies.
Dimensions: 430 x 158 x 324.5 mm
Weight: 9.6 kg
Accessories: remote control/power cable
Year: 1999
-The Technics SL-PG390 is a single CD player introduced to the market in 1998 and based on Panasonic's renowned proprietary conversion technology. It is a historically appreciated device among Hi-Fi enthusiasts seeking a sober and straightforward unit.
Main Technical Features
Reading mechanism: Equipped with a Philips CDM 12.1 laser pickup (or the VAM 1202 variant), a widely used optical block, very easy to source or replace in case of faults.
Digital-to-Analog Converter (DAC): Uses the 1-bit MASH (Multi-Stage Noise Shaping) technology developed by Technics, optimized to reduce harmonic distortion and ensure linearity in the audio signal.
Rear outputs: Includes the classic analog stereo RCA output and a digital optical Toslink output, useful if you want to use it simply as a transport connected to a modern external DAC.
Reference Audio Specifications
The performance figures stated in Technics' official service manual include:
Frequency response: 2 Hz - 20 kHz (±1 dB)
Signal-to-Noise Ratio (S/N): 100 dB
Dynamic range: 92 dB
Total Harmonic Distortion: 0.007% (at 1 kHz)
Dimensions and Weight: 430 x 92 x 283 mm for a total weight of 3.1 kg.
