Description from the seller
Famous Olivetti Studio 44, a semi-standard mechanical typewriter launched on the market by the Ivrea company in 1952, this model dates to 1956, the year of the new light-blue color following the 1952 beige. This model represents one of the milestones of post-war Italian industrial design, designed by the famous architect and designer Marcello Nizzoli in collaboration with engineer Giuseppe Beccio, and it was the preferred device for journalists and writers, effectively replacing the Lettera 22, and among the best-known fans of the Beppe Fenoglio edition. As can be seen from the accompanying descriptive images, it is in incredible good condition; the movements and sliding parts all function regularly. It has a great plus in the case (intact and beautiful) and in the precious instruction manual (code 3950161M, 15 pages) accompanied by a black cover and the case with cleaning accessories. It will, as usual, be protected in a dedicated rigid case and sent to its new home.
