Description from the seller

Fine and refined silverwork, repoussé and chased, depicting Saint Peter holding a key between his hands. The statuette, finely modeled, is placed inside a small niche set within an articulated architectural structure, characterized by a decorative language of classical taste, animated by an elegant play of arches, scrolls and shells, in a clearly Baroque configuration.
Sebbene the piece bears no marks useful for dating, the ensemble of its stylistic, artistic and compositional modules allows us to reasonably date it to the 19th century, presumably the work of a skilled Neapolitan silversmith.
The composition of the silver has been verified using AG Test Reagent red, as documented in the attached photos.
Weight 124 grams.

It is likely that the decoration was originally complemented by a wooden plate, now missing, on which the silver structure was placed.
