Splendid service of dishes in fine Meissen porcelain, decorated with the famous pattern “Blue Onion” / “Zwiebelmuster,” one of the most iconic decorations of the German manufacturer.
The refined underglaze cobalt blue decoration, inspired by ancient Oriental porcelains and introduced by Meissen in the 18th century, features elegant hand-painted floral and botanical motifs with a graceful, wavy edge. The original pattern was developed around 1739 by Johann Gregor Höroldt and is still today one of the most representative decorations of the Meissen House.
The set comprises 14 pieces in total and is ideal for both elegant daily use and for collecting.
Good overall condition.
One soup plate has a chip and another a visible crack. Minor signs of age and use compatible with the age.
