Antique religious tile 'Stmo. Cristo de la Agonía de Limpias' with carved frame – Spain, first half of the 20th century
Description:
Old Spanish religious tile depicting the “Stmo. Cristo de la Agonía de Limpias,” made in glazed ceramic in blue tones on a white background and presented in a carved and polychromed wooden frame of the period.
The piece stands out for the expressive intensity of Christ's face and for its popular devotional aesthetic typical of the first half of the 20th century in Spain.
On the front, the inscription appears:
“STMO. CRISTO DE LA AGONÍA DE LIMPIAS”
It also retains a mark/signature in the upper left area and a handwritten note on the back.
The ensemble maintains a strong decorative and collectible presence, ideal for sacred art collections, religious tilework, or Spanish vintage décor.

The frame shows cracks, wear, small losses, and visible signs of the passage of time, as shown in the photographs.
The ceramic preserves the image and glaze well, with a patina and small age-related marks.
