Original 1930s Art Deco bedside table (or small cabinet) made of premium walnut veneer and stylish glass top. Key features and characteristics of the period: Streamlined shapes: The gently rounded curve on one side of the cabinet refers to the meeting of Art Deco and early modernism (Streamline Moderne). Characteristic pattern: The natural, rich pattern and deep brown tone of the walnut veneer highlight the elegance of the furniture. Central base: The cabinet body rests on a narrower, curved lower base (plinth), which gives the furniture a floating effect. Original fittings: The round brass/metal knobs with floral or geometric patterns on the drawer and door are also characteristic decorative elements of the period.
