Architectural base - 1930-1940

Base designed to support an upper element, such as a candle or an artistic object, in wood with hand-carved decorative leaf motifs typical of the 19th-century style. Decorated with gold and silver leaf; underneath you can glimpse the red bole, which gives an extraordinary character to the finish of the piece. On top there is still an iron support where, most likely, the item to be supported was fastened. I did not remove it, but it can be taken off. Measurements: 23 x 23 x 12 cm; weight 1.6 kg.
