Description from the seller
Rare C.F. Foth & Co. Foth‑Flex twin‑lens reflex (c.1930s) for 120 film (6×6). Attractive cosmetic condition and intact optics — sold as untested / requiring service because the shutter cocking lever is stiff.
Maker/model: C.F. Foth & Co., Foth‑Flex (mid‑1930s).
Format: 120 roll film, 6×6 cm negatives.
Lenses: Matching Foth Anastigmat 75 mm, f/3.5 (viewing and taking). Front elements clear in photographs; light dust and minor cleaning marks only.
Finder: Waist‑level finder and pop‑up magnifier present and working.
Shutter: Focal‑plane shutter — cocking lever is stiff and has not been forced; shutter is therefore untested and camera is sold for display, restoration or service. Recommend CLA by a specialist before use.
Body: Good vintage cosmetics — edge wear, light paint loss and brassing consistent with age; leatherette intact.
Interior: Film chamber, pressure plate and rollers clean and complete; red window present.
Accessories: None unless noted in photos.
Approximate dimensions & weight
Height (hood closed): ~14 cm.
Width: ~9 cm.
Depth: ~10 cm.
Weight (packed): ~1.0–1.2 kg (camera only ≈ 0.85 kg).
(Use these as estimates — precise measurements available on request.)
Condition summary (one sentence)
Attractive collector’s piece with intact optics and finder; sold as‑is because the focal‑plane shutter needs servicing (stiff cocking lever).
Seller note / call to action
A great opportunity for a Foth‑Flex collector or restorer — please view all photos and ask questions; I’m happy to provide more close‑ups (lens surfaces, shutter curtains, and serials) on request.
