This is a French Empire mantel clock made of gilt bronze, likely dating to the early 19th century.Design: The clock features two seated classical figures—one playing a flute and the other holding a lyre—representing Apollo and Orpheus.Base: The rectangular base is adorned with a detailed relief frieze featuring musical instruments, cherubs, and lyrical motifs.Clock is in great working order ,only front glass cover missing. The flute is missing .
