Round double sided hollow body, with sheet copper wings and tail. Lower portion has a large crescentic form blade. Overall deep blue-green patina. A very rare and important example. Custom made stand. Lambayeque Valley. ca. 800-1000 A.D.

Condition: Professionally Restored on upper blade, face and neck, Left headdress tip and right wing tip reattached. Overall good condition.

Provenance: M.F Private Collection, Madrid. Acquired at Arte Primitivo Gallery in 2007. Formerly Private Southwestern Collection ( USA ).
