Description from the seller
Treecycled stool / side table - recycled teak wood - PT. Epos Modern Indonesia
A characterful, handmade stool made from solid recycled teak, produced by the Dutch-Indonesian company PT. Epos Modern Indonesia from Jepara under the Treecycled Furniture label.
The wood has developed a truly beautiful, deep patina—warm layers of amber, chestnut brown and dark mahogany alternate, as if the wood has lived a long life. The top reveals in cross-section the history of the tree itself: concentric growth rings, cut through by fine natural cracks that run like veins across the surface. On the sides the grain swirls in flame-like patterns, here and there deepened by knots and irregularities that give the piece its unmistakable character. The finish — a warm oil or wax — enhances all these details and gives the wood a subtle, silky sheen.
This is not a polished design object, but a piece with soul.
