Description from the seller
Exclusive bottle rack and tilting pourer for wine designed by the renowned Scottish sculptor David Marshall, made in Spain during the 70s/80s. This iconic piece is one of the leading exemplars of industrial design and mid-century Spanish brutalist art. It is the coveted variant crafted with the main body in sand-textured cast aluminum, giving it a rough, organic surface unique to each piece. The mechanical elements, movable arms, and the top adjustment screw with a butterfly nut are made of solid gold-toned brass, creating the iconic two-tone contrast (silvered and gold) characteristic of the author. Its ingenious tilting mechanical system allows tilting the bottle with total smoothness and precision to serve wine directly into the glass without removing it from the stand, preventing drips. A piece of artisanal engineering that works both as a premium desktop accessory and as an abstract decorative sculpture when empty.
