Description from the seller
Nikon D100 (DSLR Body)
Hello from Japan!
We provide high-quality cameras and lenses to the world.
The Nikon D100 was Nikon's first DSLR aimed at advanced amateurs and prosumers, positioned just below the professional D1 series. Announced in February 2002 and launched in mid-2002, its handling and layout closely resemble the Nikon F80 / N80 film body, giving it a familiar, film-camera feel.
At its heart is a 6.1-megapixel Nikon DX-format CCD sensor (23.7 x 15.6 mm), producing 3008 x 2000 images. Today this CCD generation is sought after by enthusiasts for its distinctive, nostalgic colour rendering. The camera offers an ISO range of 200-1600 (expandable to 3200), a shutter of 30s to 1/4000 plus Bulb, continuous shooting at about 3 fps, a pentaprism viewfinder with roughly 95% coverage, and a 1.8-inch rear LCD. The body is built on a magnesium-alloy chassis and weighs around 700 g. Images are stored on CompactFlash (Type I / II) or Microdrive cards (not SD).
Lens compatibility:
- Nikon F-mount, DX format. With DX lenses you get native coverage; FX / full-frame lenses can be used with the 1.5x DX crop.
- The D100 has a built-in autofocus motor, so it autofocuses with AF and AF-D (screw-drive) lenses as well as AF-S lenses.
- Non-CPU manual lenses (Ai / Ai-S) can be mounted but the camera will not meter with them (manual exposure only).
