Oakwood coffee table dating to 1925–1935 in Art Deco style, made in the Netherlands, with brown oak, dimensions 60 cm W × 40 cm D × 75 cm H and about 6.5 kg, in good condition with light signs of aging and small stains.
Description from the seller
Side table, authentic Amsterdam School.
The table is made of beautiful oak wood with a nice grain.
It dates from the 1920s or 1930s of the previous century.
The little table is 66 cm tall and the top measures 58.5 cm by 37.5 cm.
The weight of the table is about 6 kg.
Very attractive are the legs with a rounding at the bottom. This is a typical design feature of Art Deco, specifically of the Amsterdam School.
The table still looks good, with here and there a few light rings on the top surface (see photos).
This top is a little warped by temperature influences, which has caused slight gaps at the joints under the top (see photos).
However, all this is hardly noticeable, and a very common phenomenon with furniture of this age.
Although the table is not a chic piece of furniture, it is a beautiful and sturdy piece of furniture that is still 100% stable.
This side table fits into a modern interior but certainly also suits a more classical setting.
It is a jewel in any environment and certainly a conversation piece in company!
This beautiful side table will be carefully packed and insured for shipping.
