AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

Height: 14 cm (Diameter: 17 cm)

As this is a completely handmade piece, there may be slight variations in dimensions and color compared to the photos and between different pieces of the same series.

This vase has been shaped and turned by hand and subsequently fired using the evocative Pitfire technique (foss firing). It has then been decorated with the Kintsugi technique,

This technique is characterized by its spectacular and unpredictable aesthetic, capable of giving unique and unrepeatable shading, decorations and color effects to each piece.

The fascinating shades and flames on the body of the vase are due to direct contact of the clay with the smoke, embers and the alchemy of fire in a oxygen-poor environment.

The piece underwent a long and careful processing cycle: it was first fired (bisque) in a neutral atmosphere for about nine hours at 1020°C. Subsequently, the pitfire at 880°C.

The piece is absolutely safe and contains no toxic or dangerous substances. This vase is intended for decorative purposes only: due to the porosity typical of this firing technique, it is advised not to fill it with water. For cleaning, use only a dry cloth.

Remember: this is not factory-made mass-produced ceramic; each vase has its own soul. All pieces are entirely hand-shaped, turned and finished in my workshop in Lecco, Italy.
