Description from the seller
A masterful example of Italian ebonist craftsmanship, characterized by an imposing foliate decoration and refined period gilding. Fascinating and imposing rectangular wooden frame with rich stucco decorations (pastiglia) in floral and relief foliate motifs, dating to the end of the 19th century (late 1800s).
The piece stands out for its generous external dimensions (102 x 57 cm), which make it ideal both for framing large canvases and for being transformed into a luxurious decorative mirror for classic or modern interiors (creating a sophisticated contrast).
The gilded finish presents a beautiful patina of age, with the red bole subtly showing through in some spots, a detail that enhances its charm and certifies its authenticity. The back structure shows the typical workmanship of the era, with a solid wooden core.
The piece is in good overall condition. Solid and sturdy construction. There are normal and slight signs of wear, small cracks or minor losses on the gilding and plaster parts, which do not compromise its aesthetics.
The packaging will be prepared with professionalism using the most suitable materials to prevent any damage during transport.
