Exceptional Set of 5 Office Seals "Fin de Siècle" – Art Nouveau & 19th Century
Collection of five seals for sealing (virgin matrices) presenting a superb panorama of the decorative arts from the late 19th century to the early 20th century. Objects of high curiosity, perfect for a writing desk or a display cabinet collection.
Lot details:
• Art Nouveau Seal in Bronze: Masterpiece with a naturalistic motif of mistletoe and berries, symbol of good luck. Beautiful patina with an original medal finish. Engraved in relief at the base with "Pil" (art publisher). French work circa 1900.
• Nacre Seal: Flat handle in iridescent mother-of-pearl of great finesse. Rim and base in worked brass. Elegant typical of the feminine correspondence sets of the 19th century.
• Faceted Crystal Seal: Faceted body offering superb play of light. Glass-making work (Baccarat / Saint‑Louis style) from the second half of the 19th century.
• Bone Seal: Turned handle with baluster shape, Napoléon III style. Classic and timeless.
• Fleur-de-Lys Seal: In bronze, heraldic relief motif, circular base.
Condition:
Good used condition. Patina of time preserved. Note that all five matrices are blank, offering the possibility of personalized engraving.
