Dioptase on matrix from Congo, with rich coverage of crystals distributed on the upper surface. The crystals show an intense and deep green hue, well highlighted by the contrast with the light-colored matrix.

The surface is composed of crystals of varying sizes, with well-recognizable shapes and a compact growth that gives the sample a very pleasing appearance.

The sample shows generally modest transparency, with crystals predominantly translucent at the edges and opaque in the thicker parts. The luster ranges from opaque to slightly satin, with localized reflections on the better-developed faces. Overall the sample is well preserved.
