Beautiful and heavy antique door stop in the shape of a detailed horse, made of cast brass and mounted on a heavy cast-iron base, in England also called a doorstop.

Thanks to its weight, this item is not only decorative but also very functional for keeping a door open; I have used it for that myself as well.

Very suitable in a country-style interior or as a collector's item.

Considering its age and history of use, it is in good condition with a nice antique patina.

This door stop I bought about 30 years ago at an antique fair in England.

Carefully packaged and sent by registered mail with tracking.

Fraaie en zware antieke deurstopper in de vorm van een gedetailleerd paard vervaardigd uit gegoten messing en gemonteerd op een zware gietijzer basis, in Engeland ook wel doorstop genoemd.
Dankzij het gewicht is dit item niet alleen decoratief maar ook zeer functioneel voor het openhouden van een deur, hiervoor heb ik hem zelf ook altijd gebruikt.
Zeer geschikt in een landelijk interieur of als verzamelobject.
Verkeerd gezien de leeftijd en gebruikshistorie in een goede conditie met een mooi ouderdomspatina.
Deze deurstopper heb ik ca. 30 jaar geleden gekocht op een antiekbeurs in Engeland.
