Description from the seller

Two old cast-iron kitchen devices: a bean slicer and a nutcracker, both manufactured in the early 20th century.
The bean slicer (model 1078) was made by "Alexanderwerk" (West Germany). The cast iron received a red enamel finish. This coating shows wear and signs of aging (see photos). This grinder was used to cut beans into pieces via a rotating disk, powered by a crank with a wooden handle. The device can be clamped to a tabletop with a screw clamp. The unit weighs 1.290 kg.
Dimensions: 27 cm x 14 cm x 15 cm.
The nutcracker, probably manufactured by "Esschert Design" (Netherlands) in the second half of the 20th century, following an ancient tradition as already used in the 17th century, is brown in color and shows slight signs of aging. The nut is pressed via a screw until the shell bursts open. The device weighs 1.455 kg. The height is 19 cm in the highest position and 15 cm in the lowest. The base diameter is 12.5 cm.
