The image shows a work by Franco Martinengo (1910–2001), a renowned automotive designer and painter from Turin who held the role of director of the Pininfarina Style Center for about twenty years.

The Work:
The drawing, signed at the lower right and numbered "26/99", is a lithograph depicting a Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa. The style is Martinengo's typical one: dynamic and instinctive, characterized by bold black lines that convey the sense of speed and movement typical of his artistic pursuit defined as "art in motion".
Who was Franco Martinengo?
Design Career: He began working at Stabilimenti Farina in 1928, later becoming its director. In 1952 he moved to Carrozzeria Pininfarina, where he supervised the birth of iconic models such as the Fiat Dino Spider and the Alfa Romeo Duetto.
Artistic Activity: As a painter, he used various techniques including oil, watercolor, and etching. His works are often dedicated to the world of engines, blending his technical design precision with a strong chromatic passion.
Curiosity: He was a first cousin of Pope Francis
