Nautical tilt lamp in gilded brass with three handcrafted crystal shades, model Náutica, made in France, dating from 1960–1970, in good used condition and in working order, dimensions 54 cm (D) x 54 cm (W) x 64 cm (H), with a tilting mechanism and a missing closure nut.
Description from the seller
It is a gilded brass tilt nautical lamp, a luxury piece conceived for ships and yachts of the second half of the 20th century, where lighting had to be as functional as it was elegant. Its structure is designed to swing softly with the sea’s motion, always keeping the tulip-shaped glass shades stable and preventing glare or breakages: a technical trait typical of high-end maritime luminaires.
The main body, crafted in high-quality gilded brass, shows that warm, deep glow that only well-made noble metals preserve over time. The three handmade crystal shades, delicate and slightly textured, provide a soft, enveloping light, very different from industrial lighting: here there is aesthetic intention, a taste for detail, and a clear nod to classical refinement.
The piece is in good condition, with the only deficiency being a closing nut, a minor element easy to replace, which does not affect the integrity or overall operation. That small detail confirms that this is a lamp used in a real setting, not a recent reproduction.
In terms of style, it fully fits luxurious nautical classicism, with echoes of Regency style reinterpreted for maritime interiors: soft curves, gilded metal, worked crystals, and an elegant presence without tipping into ostentation.
Certified shipping and careful packaging.
