Pathéscope 3 Lamps 1920's - Projector

Old and rare set of 3 Pathéscope lamps, for Pathé Baby Film Projectors, model "Baby Ciné", manufactured in the Netherlands in the 1920s. The lamps are 12 V and 0.5 A (6 W), come in the original box, and are still good and working.

Pathé-Baby is a amateur cinema system intended for the general public, created by Charles Pathé and released in 1922. The system used 9.5 mm wide film with central perforations and was the smallest format that existed at that time. The Pathé-Baby was initially a small hand-cranked projector, capable of projecting short films loaded in a metal cartridge, with a capacity for less than a dozen metres of non-flammable film.
To sell and distribute the films made in its studios, Pathé asked the Continsouza company to develop an economical, family-friendly, easy-to-use projector, aimed at projecting very reduced versions of their films. In Christmas 1922, several thousand Pathé-Baby projectors were placed on the market.

This set is a great addition to any vintage cinema collection.
