Description from the seller
Brutalist Vintage Side Table | Live-Edge Oak | Organic Design | France | 60s–70s
RAW. ORGANIC. TIMELESS.
This isn’t a little table you pass by. A solid oak top with a fully preserved natural edge — the so-called live-edge — supported by four elegantly flaring legs. Handmade, unique, and richly worn in the most beautiful way.
DESCRIPTION
The solid oak top showcases the full beauty of the wood in its most honest form. The undulating natural edge on one side — the live-edge — gives each piece its own unique character. The warm honey-brown color with dark accents along the edge enhances the organic appearance. The four gracefully flaring legs are expertly formed and slope out elegantly — a hallmark of brutalist furniture making from 1960s–70s France. Rugged and yet refined.
This table fits just as well in a modern interior as in a classic or country setting. As a side table, plant stand, or sculptural object — it always works.
CONDITION
Mechanically excellent — solid wood joints, stable and sturdy. Visually authentic — small scratches and stains testify to a rich history and strengthen the brutalist look.
