Decorated Islamic terracotta oil lamp from the Mediterranean - 600-900 AD

Description:

Beautiful Islamic terracotta decorated oil lamp dating from 600–900 AD, originating from the Mediterranean region. The lamp features characteristic geometric decoration and a warm terracotta surface.

Condition:
Good condition. There is some glue visible at the bottom, but the lamp itself is not damaged. The reason for the glue is unknown. Please refer carefully to the photos for a full impression.

Provenance:

Acquired by the seller in 2022

From a private German collection

Originally collected between 1950–1990
