Description from the seller

Large Delft Blue lidded vase – hand-painted tin-glazed majolica – H 39 cm – 20th century.

Important decorative vase in tin-glazed majolica finely hand-painted, made in the style of the famous Delft ceramics. The work stands out for its refined blue decoration on a white ground and for the balanced ornamental composition, enriched by elegant floral motifs and by a central reserve depicting an evocative Dutch-style landscape scene.

A striking feature of the piece is the original lid, topped by a fully modeled parrot, which gives the whole a strong decorative presence and notable aesthetic value.

On the base there are the model number “670” and a blue hand-painted mark. The surface shows fine, even glaze crazing, consistent with the type and the natural aging of the piece.

Dimensions

* Height: about 39 cm

Conditions

The photographs are an integral part of the description and clearly and transparently show every detail.
