A vintage European pendant chandelier from the 1970s–1980s in Art Déco style, crafted from brass and glass/crystal, 40 cm wide, 35 cm high, and 40 cm deep, originating from France, in excellent condition and in working order.
Description from the seller
European vintage lustre from the second half of the 20th century, with a cascading design made of glass tubes and faceted crystal spheres, characteristic of the classic productions of the 60s–70s. The upper structure features a striking geometric pentagram shape, visible when viewed from below, creating a unique and highly distinctive decorative effect.
The piece combines vertical crystal strands with elongated pendants in solid glass, forming a compact cascade that multiplies the light and produces warm, continuous reflections. This style is often associated with European luminaires from brands such as Christoph Palme or Kinkeldey, which popularised the use of vertical glass and crystal elements — although this piece is unmarked, it clearly follows that aesthetic and period line.
The result is a chandelier with a strong visual presence, ideal for halls, living rooms, corridors, or bedrooms where a sophisticated vintage touch is desired. The pentagram shape adds depth, symmetry, and a rare visual impact, making the piece particularly interesting when lit.
In addition to being decorative, it provides enveloping illumination that enhances the architecture and creates atmosphere.
A find that will fit into any vintage old or modern decor. Its design will make it a standout piece in any room, very elegant and sophisticated. rare to find in good condition.
I do not ship outside Europe.
It will be packed with great care and sent with tracking. Don’t worry, I know how to pack this item so it arrives to you in the best condition. The tracking will be updated on your Catawiki purchase page; please check regularly to avoid the package being returned to me, in which case the buyer will be responsible for the cost of any additional shipment.
It will be very well packed but you must consider that during transit some pieces may come loose from their fittings and will need to be repositioned. It is up to the buyer to put them back in place. I will send replacement pieces.
