Description from the seller

Hand-carved mirror with matching console, in Louis XV style

The mirror and console are coordinated in Venetian Rococo style, both characterized by a refined dark-bronze and gilded finish and by artisanal workmanship with a strong decorative effect. The mirror features a splendid hand-carved frame with rich floral motifs, scrolls, and ornamental details that recall the Louis XV taste and Venetian decorative tradition.

Rococo style originated in France in the 18th century and spread rapidly in Italy, especially in the Venetian area, becoming a symbol of elegance, decorative richness, and artistic refinement. This set perfectly reprises its sinuous, harmonious shapes, making it ideal for furnishing entrances, salons, bedrooms, professional studios, and prestigious environments.

The wall-mounted console, perfectly matched to the mirror in style and finish, completes a unit that is rare to find still together. Both pieces are in generally good condition and retain a pleasant patina that enhances their charm and character.

A set with great dramatic impact, ideal for those who love classic furnishings and high-quality Italian craftsmanship.

Measurements (mirror only): h. 86, w. 58; internal height 50, internal width 39, depth 5.

Console measurements: width 83, height 32, depth 20.
