Stunning and rare Irish sterling silver 925 snuff box. Masterfully crafted by silversmith H&F (maker's mark present as in the photo) in 1788 (mark present as in the photo) in 925 sterling silver with a horn lid adorned with a delightful and highly elaborate Neoclassical mythological scene. There is also the crowned harp mark indicating the city of Dublin (as in the photo) and the Hibernia mark (as in the photo).
Original period hinge coeval with the snuff box.
Extremely refined details throughout the piece.
Condition: excellent as shown in the photos, some age-related flaws due to use (firm, not loose) on the horn lid.

Strepitosa e rara tabacchiera in argento sterling 925 Irlandese. Magistralmente eseguita dall'argentiere H&F (punzone presente come da foto) nel 1788 (punzone presente come da foto) in argento sterling 925 con il coperchio in corno decorato con deliziosa e molto elaborata scena mitologica neoclassica. É presente anche il punzone dell'arpa coronata che sta ad indicare la città di Dublino (come da foto) ed il punzone dell'Hibernia (come da foto).
Cerniera originale d'epoca e coeva alla tabacchiera. 
Dettagli raffinatissimi presenti in tutto il manufatto. 
Condizioni: ottime come da foto, alcune felature d'epoca dovute all'utilizzo (salde, non aperte) sul coperchio in corno.
