​For auction: an elegant and characterful small chest of drawers (commode) in the refined Venetian Rococo style (Louis XV). This piece is a splendid example of European craftsmanship from the mid-20th century.
​Features and aesthetics:
​The commode is finished in a warm cream/ivory tone, fully coated with an authentic crackle effect, giving the furniture a lived-in, antique look. The piece is richly decorated with hand-painted polychrome floral reliefs in soft pastel colors (pink, green and blue).
​A particular and surprising detail is the interior of the drawers: these are finished in a beautiful, vibrant azure blue (baby blue), which forms a luxurious contrast with the light exterior.
