Antique top hat from the early phase of the 20th century (circa 1910–1920), made of black silk plush.

The hat comes from the traditional Bernese hatmaking company P. Zurbrügg’s Söhne, Bern, and impresses with its classic, elegant shape as well as high-quality workmanship.

Inside there is a stamp from A. Cassé – Paris ("Fournisseurs des marques parisiennes"), a renowned supplier of high-quality hat materials. In addition, the awards Grand Prix London 1908 and Bruxelles 1910 are noted, which indicates dating to after 1910.

The top hat is in good, age-appropriate condition with slight signs of wear. Shape stable, interior lining and sweatband original.

The original hat box with gold lettering is also present and complements the ensemble.

Today, original pieces from this period are rarely preserved in full, especially in combination with the original hat box.
