Yaka-Suku fetish from DR Congo - 49 cm on a pedestal

Very large and rare Yaka-Suku fetish
49 cm, on a mid-20th-century base.
Beautiful antique patina, greenish on the face, traces of kaolin and tukula pigments, a raffia loincloth-like wrap draped over the shoulders, well mounted on a base.

Identical specimen in the book by A. P. Bourgeois.
