Double desk inkwell in gilded bronze from France, dating to the late 19th century (c. 1880–1910), richly decorated in the Louis XV Rocaille style with two circular reservoirs and original lead liners, functional hinged lids, and measuring 8 x 23 x 20 cm, in excellent condition with minor gilding wear and age patina.

Double bronze-gilt desk inkwell, France, late 19th century (circa 1880/1910).
A richly decorated model in the Louis XV/Rocaille style, with shells, foliage and openwork scrolls, typical of high-quality French productions from the late 19th century.
The inkwell features two circular reservoirs with their original lead interior cups, an important element attesting to the authenticity and completeness of the piece.
The hinged lids are functional. The casting is careful and well detailed, with a beautiful depth of relief.
Decorative and functional object of high quality, representative of French desk inkwells from the late 19th century, sought after for its elegant presentation and completeness (presence of the cups).
Accessories joint not period
Overall good condition considering age, with normal gilding wear, even patina and oxidation traces compatible with long-term use. No major damage; see photos as part of the description.
