Up for auction is a beautifully preserved piece of 1990s analog video history: a Sony Video 8 Handycam (Model CCD-FX280E). Manufactured in September 1995 in Japan, this PAL-system camera was a staple for capturing family memories and home movies during the peak era of 8mm tape technology.
Featuring a powerful 12x variable zoom lens and an automated CCD autofocus system, this unit offers a wonderfully tactile layout with classic physical toggles for backlight adjustment, program AE exposure, and fader options.
the camcorder is in excellent cosmetic condition with very clean housing, bright lettering, and its original blue and gray embroidered Sony shoulder strap.
