Description from the seller
The Flissa saber is a traditional saber made in Algeria, originating from the craftsmanship of the Kabyle tribe the « Iflissen Lebhar » from which its name derives.
It is distinguished by a straight blade shape. Motifs engraved in a linear fashion depict arabesques (see photos) on both faces of the blade, slightly inward-curved and chiselled (late 19th century).
The blade ends with a zoomorphic motif on the handle (pommel with an animal head in both cases).
The blade may feature inlays of copper and brass.
Here is a lot of two Flissa:
- A magnificent large Flissa (Kabyle) of 70 cm
- A small Flissa (Kabyle) of 60 cm with its original sheath made of animal leather and wood.
Shipment in a tube and cardboard by Colissimo.
No shipping outside the EU.
